OUR PROCESS
The product development process is extensive and complex. At Columbus Apparel Studio, we break it down into 3 steps: Collaborate, Create, Produce. The number #1 focus is on the client and creating a partnership to develop the best product in a collaborative and creative environment.
COLLABORATE

CREATE
In this process, we first finalize your concept with our design services and begin bringing the product to life with our technical design services. Once concept is finalized, we begin creating the pattern and detailed spec package on how the garment is to be constructed, and specification of trims, fabrics, stitches, etc. Fit sessions are conducted with all tweaks made to the pattern after the fit session. Once the sample is approved, the pattern and spec package is finalized and ready for production.
PRODUCE
From samples to small batch production, we are a small batch manufacturing facility with production orders starting at 100 units up to 5000 units. All produced in-house with our experienced and detailed professional industrial sewers.

Passionate and experienced apparel industry leaders helping designers, entrepreneurs, retail brands and boutiques. Our team’s expertise is rooted in product development and production which we learned from working at major retail corporations and traveling the world working with domestic and oversea partners. We bring decades of experience and hands on training which allow us to provide you with the precision, strategic craft, and analytic approach of product development and production. Developing product is an art and a science to craft quality products that meet design aesthetics, target price point, and production feasibility. We are your trusted advisor to guide you through the entire product development process and get you fully ready for production after proof of concept.
About Our Founder
A fashion industry veteran with over 20 years of experience, Denise has devoted her entire career to the industry. She is an Ohio native, attended Bowling Green State University and studied Apparel Merchandising and Product Development. Denise also received an MBA from Franklin University. Denise brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise with her extensive product development background. Denise has excelled in her roles and held numerous positions in technical design, product development, sourcing, brand management, production, and leadership roles at Limited Too, Justice, and MGF Sourcing. Denise is passionate about the fashion industry and enjoys meeting people, helping people bring their concept to life, and providing speed to market initiatives to meet the demands of today’s consumer.
